Something Mrs. TKP is creating at this very moment. I know if involves chicken, black pudding, savoury rice and some kind of sauce (not HP). I can't wait.

Great chieftan a' the puddin' race.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Haggis for us tonight.  Bottle of Talisker too.  Maybe not the whole bottle - it is a school night, after all.

Home-made beef stew.
Plum compote with custard.
Compote is of home-grown plums and has been in freezer since ?August?  ?2005/6/7?
(No plums last year after gardeners did far too much pruning. I had a lovely plum harvest in 2006 & 2007.)

The left over portions of what my sister rather rudely called Lamb Pie. I prefer to call it a tasty concoction of lamb with leeks in a herby sauce and wrapped in light puff pastry but hey, lamb pie will do I suppose.

It's Chinese new year's eve and so we're off to a restaurant. No cooking tonight!

I've spent several minutes trying to work out what lamb pie was a euphemism for.

I now realise you just meant your creation was too delightful to have such a prosaic name. I hope! Cause otherwise I'm confused.

Haggis, neeps, tatties and some greens and I am currently having a wee dram of A'bunadh with my younger daughter, the only other dipso in the house. We are drinking from the Girton College whisky glasses she bought me before she left. We're takin' a right gude-willy waught as I type.

We did have some salmiakki earlier, as a gesture to international relations.

No euphemism I'm afraid, unbelievable for YACF perhaps, but there we go.  ;)

Haggis seems to be suprisingly popular.
It's a suprise to me anyway because I wouldn't put something in my mouth which is unappealing to the eye & haggis looks like a refugee from the Alien trilogy

Do not read the list of ingredients of your haggis unless you are strong of stomach.

Past tense:
Home made Chilli con carne atop a mixture of basmati and wild rice with fresh dill and spring onion mixed in.
Chased down with a second mug of Lapsang Souchong and my third  (:o) chocolate tiffin.
