Liz cooked me a simple and rather excellent stir fry which had her home-sprouted beans in it.

Like the odious vulgarian I am, I drenched it in dark soy sauce.  Om nom nom  :D

I cannot believe just how many of you guys claim to be having haggis for supper.  The only thing worse (for me) would be another serving of the appalling Haggis Quiche that I ordered in error at a woolen centre in Elgin a couple of years ago.

Mmmmm haggis.
Anyway, today I was a busy bee.
I made apple crumble to take to our friends for Sunday dinner. I also made a pot of tattie, neep & butternut squash soup (in the pressure cooker no less, I am afraid of it no more) and I made a big stack of salmon fishcakes too.
:P
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Duck vindaloo, with courgette and pak choi, washed down with a rather stunning Chilean Gewürztraminer.

Ommmmmm... nom nom nom...

Haggis seems to be suprisingly popular.
It's a suprise to me anyway because I wouldn't put something in my mouth which is unappealing to the eye & haggis looks like a refugee from the Alien trilogy

That's why you have it with a decent malt whisky - a few drams, and you're in the right state to tuck in.

A phenomnomnomenon that kebab houses have thrived upon for years...  ;)

For the record, I have tried it, when I was in Fort William for a long weekend of hill/mountain walking. When in Rome and all that... I quite liked it, but then I am partial to black pudding.  :D

I'm a fan of black & white pudding but not haggis - nothing rational about me.

Prawn, avocado and new potato salad.  Try with a lemongrass, sesame seed oil and sake dressing.  :P

Three-course pub meal at The Castle in Harrow.
Partner's astronomocal society annual bunfight.
(Hopefully the venue will be better than the $DEITY$-forsaken place in Greenford which ran out of milk for after-dinner coffee...)
