Out and about in Hawes this lunchtime and I was surprised to see that the café that usually used as control I forget what its called now was closed.I don't know if is still used but it was always a good place to rest a while before the climb of Fleet Moss. The chippy across the road was doing a roaring trade with the bikers.

Went through Hawes again this lunchtime and the café was open and doing a roaring trade from the visitors to the market. For the first time for a few years I rode from Poulton to Kirkby Longsdale then over Barbon to Sedburgh and then to Hawes. That was the easy bit, the wind was from the SW and the Hawes to Ingleton part was a long slog, I'd forgotten all the ups and downs. I must have looked pretty knackered when I reached Inglesport for lunch.Still it was a great day out with just a shower or two am.
