New printer and wifi connectivity

You may have read elsewhere that the all in one Canon MX310 that I have had since 2008 expired on 23rd December.  Fabulous!!!   

I bought a Canon MG5750 yesterday and this has wifi connectivity.  I have heard dark tales of woe about printers and connecting via wifi but it just did as it was told and we are all nicely connected and working.  It can even sleep and turns on when a request to print is made.   Nice.   

A bargain at £44 from PC World, less than a third of what the MX310 cost in 2008!

Not far off for the 'genuine' articles.

I'll be looking at alternatives but I am also expecting my ink consumption to reduce somewhat in the next few weeks.
