I fancy doing a cycle ride in company on the 3rd July (my other half is out working all day so won't mind me being out biking all day...) and as my birthday pressie today from my M-I-L was a set of OS maps heading west of here (and North), I rather fancied doing a 60ish mile trundle on some new roads.

Thing is, I'd rather do it in company. Anyone game?

I'm based near Colchester but wouldn't mind starting from somewhere else if someone can accompany me on an interesting ride.

Sadly I am teaching at lunch time that day.

My last teaching day this term will be 10th July. After that I could well be up for a few pootles.

You're on for pootles after 10 July!

I'm off to Walton-on-the-Naze on Sunday to paint the boat's bottom and I may see if I can investigate the Naze Tower café. Went to Great Bentley yesterday and was disturbed by its lack of tea.

I am due pay back big time when D1+1 returns from Canada on 28th June.
I cycled a twenty odd mile round trip to Manningtree to day just to water their allotment greenhouse. My lunch was augmented by much strawberry, raw carrot and pea. ;D

I can go nowhere for long unless i have a carer for my senile, epileptic Jack Russell.D2 had IT for three hours today.I am devoted to the old boy but he has become a bit of a pain in the bum.

So i will get a July work plan from +1 (she likes looking after Jakob) and shall contact you later.I think i booked July 18th before they departed for the Rockies.
