I might take the route to the Compasses via Hartford End, just to check something out which I thought I had a record of but now can't trust it.

I'll follow you.

And tippers I will ensure I pack my Leatherman Surge. I hope there will be enough chaps present to hold you down.

I'm in London in the afternoon, but should be back in good time to arrive before 9pm, especially as the westerly wind will blow me to the Compasses in no time at all.

Looking forward to some final planning before going dutch, although I think we've covered everything off now, except perhaps meeting arrangements on Friday.

For anyone interested this is the route I shall be riding this evening. Probably arriving at the Compasses sometime around 9:15.

I'll join the peloton as it passes the Ridge into Colams lane.  I'll lurk at the top of Colams lane on the left hand side.  I reckon you should be about 2015, so I'll be there for them.

Cheers

Might try to pick you up at Maltings Lane/Maldon Rd MRAB.

If I'm not there,  go on without me - I'll catch you up at the pub.

First time working in London for weeks, and get train delays on way back. Looks like I'll be later than usual getting to the Compasses, but still intend to make it, assuming the train service is restored sometime soon.

On a train now, but by the time it gets in I'm not going to be able to get out in time to get to the Compasses much before last orders, so unfortunately I've been thwarted. Will catch up on Dutch trip on the other thread, if any decisions arise this evening.

No, no!  I think THAT ONE is in fact THIS ONE!

Any how, just in case I will load THAT ONE into me Garmin and we can discuss the matter at the roundabout tomorrow evening.

I'm giving it a miss tonight - still got organiser's duties hanging over me and the 1st October deadline looming. Friday + weekend is out on a recce of the further-flung Welsh reaches of the 1000km.

Have a good one

Assuming I'm home from London on time,  I'll try to intercept at the bottom of Avenue Road.

If I'm not there,  don't wait.  I'll either try to catch up on the official "route" or go direct to the pub.

Hi Each,

I'll join the peloton at Tofts Chase (at the bottom of North Hill).  I reckon you should be there by 2015 to 2030.  If I'm not there or miss you I'll see you at the Hurdlemakers around 2100(ish)

Cheers
