A rare* triple forumite passing yesterday as IanN and I heading south passed mkwr heading north on his yellow Moulton over Kenn Moor**. He'd obviously got up earlier than us.

*Lie, as Mr Larrers would say.
**Mr Moor is not of this parish.

Yeh, sorta half shouted as felt that shouting at people you don't know while they cycle uphill is not what you want to teach your kids.  The Classic rethink as you are doing it manoeuvre.

Knowing people from the FNRttC can be particularly confusing, not just because of the high overlap with The Other Place (where many forumites have dual nationality, but usernames are more contended so don't always match).  It's entirely possible to have long conversations with someone during a night ride, then not recognise them in daylight or at breakfast due to the removal of layers/helmets and the absence of previously distinctive bike lights.

Which I believe happened to us on one, or possibly more, occasions...

I do believe I spotted Zipperhead on the Embankment this evening.

If not, I shouted his name to a complete stranger.  :-[

Fear not - you're not ready for the funny farm yet. It was me, your brain was obviously working much quicker than mine.

One of my colleagues spotted someone in a blue YACF jersey, on the bow roundabout/underpass.  Any takers or guesses ?
Actually, it is rocket science.

If Monday afternoon, likely me.  Otherwise, perhaps Ham?

Fboab was stuffing her face at a food stall.  Then, later, I was shouted at by Mr & Mrs Fboab from their long bike.  Both times in French France.  No photographic evidence, I'm afraid.

Before that, still in France, Assassin was searching for dolmens, with his daughter.

There may have been others.

I forgot to interrogate him on any further details about the spotting, and he's now disappeared off for two weeks, so we may never resolve it now !

I'll have to train him to quiz anyone he spots in the future. :D

Whilst he cycles, he's very much in the "it had a wheel at each end" category of cyclist.  He may be able to remember whether it has straight or drop handlebars, and possibly the colour, but I doubt much else. :D

And earlier, I was spotted by zigzag (not sure if pre- or post- his tumble).  I think that's the first double I've been involved in.

That last sentence is just gagging (no pun intended) for inappropriate innuendo.....

Last Monday we spotted/were spotted by Regulator as we left Mildenhall Festival. Sadly, DTek didn't have a stall this year so I don't know if Reg found any unlikely things to purchase.

That ever-young phil was very much spotted just off our tandem's rear wheel a good number of times today on our Marin County Populaire

Early this afternoon I (figuratively) ran in to jiberjaber near Wickham Bishops.  Those ACME jerseys really do catch the eye.

thought I spied a lemon yellow YACF jersey going the other way to me through Littleport this afternoon. If so I'm guessing it may have been Wobbly John OTP

Yep, much quieter ride back.  The highlight was stopping on a narrow lane near Woodham Walter to watch three aeroplanes doing an acrobatic display over the Warren Classic Car Show.
