I think I originally said I would be interested in this, and I still am. I will have to do some diary-wrangling and see whether it's feasible though. A decent tour with the Long Itch brigade is a very tempting prospect.

I'm hoping - subject alas to the usual family constraints - to make it to Long Itch, if only for the Saturday. I would have no problems chipping in for the evening's entertainment.

Maybe the one in May.
I'm hopping to set out early April for the coast and then head north.
But I could do loop for ~4 weeks to get to Long Itch early May.
Join you to the coast then head north towards Scotland.

I like C&CC sites as they are known standard and price.
C&CC sites to the coast and distances between are Milton Keynes (40 miles), St Neotts (35 miles), Cambridge (25 miles), Thetford Forest (45 miles), Kessingland (45 miles).

any thoughts on campsites as i will need to let apollos home know how much money to give him and set up a plan to get him home at the end

That's why I was thinking C&CC main sites.
They will probability be sub £10 per night, looks like £8-10 for non-members bike-packering.

he will share my touring tent and i will use my old burly child trailer to carry his special food and our camping kit . i am a bit slower with the traier but the distances seem moderate

Just registering interest, not sure I'll be able to do the rides but the camping and paella sound tempting. That said there's a strong chance this may also be the date of a convention I must attend so not a definite sadly.

As this coincides with a potential FNRttC, a local audax and a birthday (yes, that last one's nothing to do with cycling), count me out. I still intend to make it to Suffolk though, even if it has to involve trains.

I'd love to join in the fun too, I dont think I can do the whole week but perhaps could intercept in Fenland and join you across to the county of the gods.
