Though these memories are ancient history, I'm still amazed by the failure of some catering establishments to feed me requests I thought were reasonable.
I arrived at a hotel in which I had booked a stay at 11.30am, having cycled cold 40 miles.
I wanted a hot drink and a pastry. They couldn't do the pastry.
Spent a day hanging around a Court. Because there was much waiting, I went to the canteen, wanting a drink and an apple.
They had no fresh fruit of any description.
Hope things have improved.
I still think my requests were reasonable...
