Is he in danger of turning into a Wormelow Tump?  Though he's a bit old for that.

<The Meaning of Liff>

When my MIL died and a minister came round he saw a copy of that lying on the table, picked it up and said "Ah yes, the meaning of life..." then sighed and put it down again.

I've just realised that I shall be going through Marsh Gibbon on my ride on Friday.

Are there any special precautions I shoud take?
I'm gonna limp to the pub and drink 'til the rest of me is as numb as my arse.

Overtaking me would add a hell of a lot of miles to his total.  It's a long way, you know!

Hmm. Marsh Gibbon a) has a pub, b) is near enough exactly a 100mi round trip from Swindon, and c) would fill that annoying gap in my Strava heatmap.

Challenge accepted! (just the once mind, I'm not nuts like Steve)

According to the parish council's website, Marsh Gibbon has two pubs, The Greyhound, and The Plough.

I decided to look at a route to ride from home (Nottingham) to Marsh Gibbon and back to pay homage! It rather conveniently work out at 204 miles - A Full Tommy!!

Does these mean a Marsh Gibbon meet up is a possibility? Do we need to start a list?
I'd be riding from Sheffield.

Without any modification, Google Walking gives me 101km from home to Marsh Gibbon.

OTOH and more worryingly, it also warns that:
