No movement detected yet. At least not that I can see.
It is simpler than it looks.

He shows up well north of MK, so perhaps a SPOT problem.

SNO here, enough on the ground that it's still brown slush on the main roads.
Have a good ride today Steve.

If it like here - we're 14 miles sw - he has around 2-3cm of snow to deal with on local roads.

Snow at the Premier Inn in Luton.  A day for the brave, wet slushy roads and cold.

No snow in Nottingham. Maybe Steve should loop northwards before heading to Warwick?

Sub-freezing temp now, rain showers forecast towards 11 - 12, could get icy.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

I'm wimping out of cycling to work today.  A dusting of snow, cold toes and stiff legs from riding on Sunday put paid to that idea.  Steve is inspiring, but not so inspiring that I grow an extra pair.  I'll leave such feats of derring do to Headbanger Alpha.

Double helping of kudos to Steve today, regardless of how far he ploughs on today.

A slightly odd track/route for Steve this morning, I wonder if the A5 had an accident or somesuch on it? Nothing showing up though.

Snow in Reading....just rode to the station on the Brompton & it was fine.  If Steve stays on A & B roads today I very much doubt he'll have any problems
DJR (Dave Russell) now retired. Carbon Beone parts bin special retired to turbo trainer, Brompton broken, as was I, Whyte Suffolk dismantled and sold. Now have Mason Definition and Orbea M20i.

Over an inch of snow on the ground and currently snowing again here in the Fens (Ely).

Perhaps a morning, for Steve, to stay close to home until the weather decides what it is doing.

Go Buzz Lightyear Steve OneYear - "To Marsh Gibbon, and beyond!"  :D
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...

It looks to me like he is doing circuits of Mk until it warms up a bit. Tracker showing -1c there.

1 - 2 cm of snow in East Berks, main roads clear and minor roads either slush or cleared in the tracks of the cars. Some small pockets of compacted snow on the residential roads.

Take care Steve, a short day is better than not being able to ride for weeks after an icy fall.

Some snow in the night but it's mostly melted now. 1°C according to the weather station. The car just has droplets of water on it.

Snow in Hampshire and 0.5degC

Freezing overnight temps are likely to make the roads very tricky all week.

Hang on in there Steve, if you can get through February on target then it will look good from then on in.

Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.
