Title: Medway Marvellous Sun 26th May 2019

I just realised that the entry from last year may have caused confusion because of the date. The rides are this coming Sunday and the weather is looking perfect.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I was looking through the route sheet (inspired by the GPX thread), and I notice:

"2.3 INFO CONTROL on R of X Rds 79.9"

Does this mean turn right at the Cross roads, *AND* there's an info there, or the info is on the right side of the cross roads, but continue on straight?

The info control is at the cross roads on the right hand side.
The next instruction says to turn left at the cross roads.
I will clarify when I do the briefing.

Thx Tim for a lovely ride today! Part of country I’ve never seen before and some lovely thought through lanes. Cake and refreshments was much appreciated at the end so many thanks also to your wife.

Well that went well. 50 or so riders enjoying some of the best roads in North Kent. Most riders were lucky with the weather, although a few on the 200 got caught in some showers later in the day.  A westerly wind made the first half of the 200km a bit tougher, but helped on the long leg from Forest Row to Staplehurst.

Lots of nice comments about the route, apart from the uphill section through the roughest housing estate in Strood!



Thanks to all the volunteers who helped to make this a success, I couldn't have done it without you.   David, Ian, Rachel, Pete, Elaine and Angela you are today's unsung heroes of Audax.
