Damaged IRC Tyre

my IRC tubeless tyre has a split .... I never rode over anything (as far as I am aware) ... is this a split or is it a puncture? (Just tring to see if I can get a warranty replacement orif Ihave to spend another £50?

it's a tyre cut, caused by riding over a sharp object on the road.

You could try patching it from the inside, it's not recommended by manufacturers but I've done with a Hutchinson.

If I patch it, I'd be very nervous riding with it as it is mounted on my 'fast bike' .... I have a route that I do often, where there are a few downhill sections where I get to speeds of close to 50km/hr

I will however try and repair it and keep it as a spare .... I've ridden 1,286.6km on it (mounted on the rear wheel) and it still looks brand new
