Just heard about what happened from Daisyhill - how horrible!!!!!  I'm so glad it wasn't more serious, but what a sickening thing to happen.  Sending you lots of big hugs  :)

I'm on holiday for a few days and heading to see family back in the Grampian highlands.  Won't be near a bike again until Tuesday.  Already feeling withdrawal symptoms.

MrsC's car is in for a service and I had to get it there. So my day off the bike will cost me 1300 quid! :-(

Diesel major service, plus cam belt replacement as five years old, plus tyres plus plus... And an MOT.
MrsC's commute is about 30 miles each way and she uses the car for work trips all over the place so she wants it looked after

aye, running a motor in a fully commited fashion can be a real pain in the wallet. The Volvo is due for a major service & cam belt change at the end of Feb.
The Mondeo has just han an MOT,insurance renewal & "road tax".

I had to be on the 0706 train yesterday, and I couldn't be sure that the office (where I would normally shower and change) would be unlocked before 0645, and it's a 10-min walk to the station.

So I got up into work clothes rather than lycra, and got a taxi to the station. :-[

My penance was to have to be on a train through Mordor Central.  Even worse, on the way back, some celeb was evidently in the seat two or three behind me, as people kept wanting their photo taken with him.  I wouldn't have known him from Adam, but am told it was that Wagg-nerr bloke off of the X-filesfactor.

Dodgy stomach this morning, so back on the Tube.  This is doubly bad as I had planned to drop off the bike at the LBS.  Now this is pushed back to Wednesday as I have to head into Westminster for a meeting first thing tomorrow morning so back on the Tube again. :(

I'm getting a haircut after work, and then having dinner cooked for me, and didn't want to turn up with a Buff/helmet over my bee-yoo-tee-ful new haircut!
Edit: feel better soon Andrij  :-*

It's Monday, and my day 'off', and that means lots of walking small people to and fro and to and fro and no bike riding :(

Mind, I did manage to walk a ludicrous amount this morning.  Left for school about 8:15, got back four hours or so later and spent most of the interim (apart from a 15 minute coffee stop at a mates and 20 minutes work-on-my-day-off) stomping around the streets from one place to another.  Busy busy busy....

TBH, didn't really feel that the wheel was slightly less than true*, but I won't be taking any more risks than necessary.  Wednesday's commute will be via the most direct route.

I was too slow getting up and had to drive in to the office to save time. Thats four days of bright sunny mornings and dry evenings so far this week and I have yet to cycle on any of them.  :-[

The first attempt since November.   Front brake seized.  I have given up one thing after another.  Journeyed by train to bike shop.
