I had a very long drive today.  No snow in Llandysul, but from mile five to mile ten it was absolutely blizzard conditions.  So heavy I nearly pulled over.  A bit worried about spending hours on the M4.
But then it stopped.  And that was it.
Phew.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Not exactly of Christmas card proportions - but it is falling here.    I've abandoned the idea of a Sunday bike ride.

We are getting about 1 -2 inches of snow every night, then it is mending during the day.

Really bizarre weather .

Just got back from a pleasant ride (medium gloves, leg warmers, unzipped jersey) and it started snowing fairly heavily. Not expected at all!

Yeah we also had a layer of snow when I got up at kitty breakfast time this morning. Then it melted by late morning, I sat in the sun wearing a duvet jacket with the cats for a bit, hung out the washing and then it snowed. The forecast alleges it will get warmer during the week. I ruddy hope so, I'm bored of this weather, and I've got painting to do that the low temperatures are holding up.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

I was with a small group, intending to do a short ride from Cheltenham to Broadway, taking in
Cleeve Hill (on the B4632) and Stanway Hill. As we approached Southam it started to snow, and
was bitterly cold. I decided I wanted none of it, as it would have been worse at the top of those
climbs. I bade my farwells and headed through Southam and up a road through the racecourse
for home. Once inside, I did 3 x 2000 metres on my concept2 rower.

Out with the local CTC group from Chichester, it was a lovely sunny day,  However on the way back, when climbing the A285 at Duncton Hill, there was a big black cloud above us which produced a few drops of rain, which then became sleet and then a mini snow blizzard.  It was too warm for it to settle, and descending on the other side it was soon blue sky again.  Very bizarre.

Can we have spring back please?

I have lying snow in my garden right now. My cars are quite well covered. I never noticed it happening - I'm in my studio/shed with lots of windows - but it's definitely there. And it's bloody cold; -1.8 according to my thermometer.

Snowing quite heavily here, a few miles east of Basingstoke. Starting to settle too, looks like I'm in the planet slayer today rather than on the bike  :(

Went for 2nd. jab yesterday and decided to walk the 4 miles there as it's the least unreliable method.
Had about 30 min. of significant snow, kept out by the windproof Paramo fleece. Cold enough to wish that I'd worn another layer, then turned uphill and with the wind - snow stopped and sun came out. 10 min. later overheating!

An inch or two here in Reading. Stopped by 9am. It's mostly melted now. The sun's come out to finish it off.

Just before 8am I should have been commuting but looked at large fluffy flakes of falling snow and decided that I would rather dial into the 8:30 call from home. Cue client remote access servers being down so no access to my calendar and the meeting number.

By 8:30 it was fine flakes and I left for site at 8:50 when IT confirmed the remote access was out. By then it had stopped snowing and had started melting, by the time I arrived at work no one would have know it had even snowed.  :'(
