Mrs trekker makes greeting cards (and I help sometimes). Until now we have been using HP Photo Creations which was cheap and came installed with our printer drivers. It was fine but had a fairly limited number of templates.
HP have now stopped supporting it so I thought I'd buy her something more specific to the task as an extra Christmas present. Does anyone use anything similar or offer any recommendations?
So far I've found Hallmark Card Studio deluxe, Print Artist 25 Platinum and Greeting Card factory Deluxe.
The latter two appear to be made by the same company and cost the same so I'm not really sure what the difference is. Hallmark studio looks fine but I read a review which says it doesn't print onto 4x6 photo card, you have to print onto a bigger card and fold it over which would be a waste in our house as they are normally backed and glued onto a folded card. Of course the reviewer might not have found the right setting but none of these seem to come with a limited time sample I could have a play with and make a decision.
I'd have liked it boxed too so it can be wrapped and given as a gift but obviously buying boxed software is too old fashioned so I'll have to do something creative with a memory stick I guess.
