just caught up with this week's Ep - agree with all the above.
Except the tyndale business - never heard of him! (although I do know who Jane Seymour was )
its good fun playing "what have we seen _him_ in before"
I'm embarased to say i may never have seen Mark Rylance before. And I'm kicking myself for not remembering Claire Foy was in the Promise. (this is a lot easier with imdb, isnt it?)
Just been put onto this by the elder gentlemen of my acquaintance. Watched the first four episodes back to back tonight.
Brilliant. Pacing is superb. No intrusive music. Minimal but clear dialogue. Acting. Tension. Cold blooded threats. Cromwell's 'interview' with Henry Purcey was a masterpiece.
The tension and intrigue is fantastic - the playing out of the conflict in Cromwell over the trial of Thomas More was superb.
And then Norfolk (I think) gets all thick of it and potty mouthed at just the right amount of belligerence.
Can't wait for Wednesday.
