Not having Netflix, I haven't seen the programme, but Magnus Carlson's comments are to be welcomed, I think.

Regarding this paragraph
Carlsen has a couple of amused reservations about the TV series – like the way its players are often stunned by a checkmate move they hadn’t seen coming, which “never happens” – but its portrayal of Harmon is not one of them.

Don't tell Nigel Short that:

Just watched it, good entertainment but not sure why everyone is raving about it.

Since I've just restarted playing I picked up some chess books from my shelves and found the novel which I didn't even know I had!

I watched three episodes and gave up, found it underwhelming and rather repetitive as drama
