One of these might be useful for me later this year. Preliminary investigations lead me to the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 but before I buy I was wondering if anybody here has any experience and thoughts to share please.

I have bought one in spite of the deathly silence and shall enjoy learning how to use it for best effect.
Their app and tutorials are excellent imo. Great bit of kit for beginners.

Interested to know how it goes

I used a DJI osmo unit in my last work. Not extensively but it did seem quite good at what it did for slow walking around use. But if you wanted to be running or let alone cycling I'd be more wary. https://www.amazon.co.uk/DJI-Osmo-Mobile-Lightweight-Intelligent/dp/B07RHJ7LWH
Where it starts to get a bit more involved is if you also want to record quality sound. Then you end up plugging all these gizmos in and you have quite an unwieldy package. We found the best way forward was a wireless lapel mic setup which wasn't too dear. I can't recall the exact product names sorry.

No plans to run or cycle with it (I don't cycle any more) and I have a very effective Rode mobile phone mic which is surprisingly excellent and can be used with the phone mounted on the gimbal.
I also have a separate Rode lavalier mic and a recorder for voice overlay which also works acceptably well.
Just need to become proficient with the gimbal and better at editing now.
