Thanks, Ade.  I think I'm probably fine, except for lingering disappointment.  A combination of factors probably meant I just wasn't strong enough at the start line.  You shot off like a rocket, even allowing for my snailing!  Glad you had a good time and good luck for LEL.

Thanks, A.  Yes, Doc thinks it's just a bug and the back pain is a recurrence of trouble I had years ago.  I'll mend!

The date for this year's event is Sunday 09 August 2015. With just 1-week to go before PBP, an ideal way to  test your legs before the "big one"! The route is very scenic offering 4500 metres of climbing whilst climbing over the Bowland Fells and Yorkshire Dales. Riders should be prepared for a very long but rewarding day in the saddle. Food available for purchase at every control (Slaidburn 24km; Tan Hill Inn 97 km; Castle Bolton 124 km & Gargrave 174 km). Simple navigation and no information controls.

Is there a GPX file available for this? Nothing on AUK web page.

Quick thanks to Andy for organizing this great ride.

Only 15 starters I think but it is a tough ride.

Lots of climbs of course but many followed by some absolutely thrilling descents.

Don't think I've ever seen so much rabbit roadkill on a ride before.

Thanks to Mark from Reading for company at various points.

Brilliant pictures, I'll do this one next year as long as it doesn't clash with Ride London 100 ( assuming i get in). I need to do Buttertubs Pass!

Is that the same as the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100? If so, next year's date is Sunday 30 July 2017! There's another interesting Audax event on on that date you know .......

This year's event has been set for Sunday 13 August 2017. For the first time, it's not a car-park start & finish. I've secured the local community centre for the running of the event, meaning you'll be able to take advantage of a free breakfast and enjoy some refreshments afterwards.

The route is very scenic offering 4500 metres of climbing whilst climbing over the Bowland Fells and Yorkshire Dales. Riders should be prepared for a very long but rewarding day in the saddle. Food available for purchase at every control (Slaidburn 27 km; Tan Hill Inn 99 km; Castle Bolton 127 km & Gargrave 177 km). Simple navigation and no information controls.

Said Hello a few times on LEL & offered help with that flat when you very wet & on hilly section.. glad to see you finish well.
Would be grateful for gpx or tcx file for TanHill200 as I'm useless without Garmin.

this is the nearest you are going to get to a gpx file - just export it as your favoured track: https://ridewithgps.com/trips/6035061

ThankYou..
But how do you save as favourite track?
Do you have to paid version of ridewith gps?
Cheers..

Hi you can press export option at top right of map and then select tcx or gpx and it'll download to your computer.  No need to pay. Making a free account is a good idea though but not necessary.
