Oh, and if the lady who'd obviously had a few too many and was having a wee in the middle of the road as I came through Abergavenny happens to be reading, the middle of the road, with your back to the traffic in the dark probably isn't the best place to be on a Saturday night.

I confess to having done similar on other rides.

When there are ditches at the side of the road and you are cycling alone, it's the 'least worst' option.
