Watching the Giro in Welsh.
It doesn't seem to be on any other free-sat channel.   :-\

Quest has highlights on Freeview.

Drinking a small Balvennie getting ready for bed having driven back from Winchester after niece’s confirmation in the cathedral.

Just completed a basic service on a customer's bike at my newly set-up cycle repair and servicing micro-enterprise . . . just like old times when I ran an LBS  :)

Is this cause for celebration?

In a minor way, yes!  Possibly the only good news I've had in the past 18 months or so...

Hope whatever follows is better.

Meanwhile, I have given up Excelling for the day. Flesh & bludde can stand no more.  Good news is that we'll be paying less tax next year. Bad news is that it's pro rata (= for the rats in Latin).

Waiting to ride home.

Waiting because I'm still utterly stuffed with fish and chips I ate 90 minutes ago.

Checking that my plan to switch from turbo to on road tonight is a good idea.

Followed by contemplating how long after the pack of jaffa cakes I've just consumed it's sensible to set off

Relaxing after finishing our annual tax return.  God knows what doing it like five years or so from now will be like - I'll probably be gaga (assuming I'm not already).

In Amazingstoke waiting for SO to have her jab.  100 mile round trip, closest venue available this month.  Bastard lying Tories.

Sitting on a sofa, indoors and looking at the sunny outside.

Don't want to go out as there are too many people outside in buildings that don't use mask or distance.

Sitting on our swing seat in the garden. Drinking a nice cold beer after a walk round the park. I'll light the BBQ in a little bit.

Aching a bit after yesterday's long ride but only a little.

Working, as is traditional on the late May bank holiday. Ah well, it's too hot outside anyway and it's not as if we're allowed to go anywhere interesting (i.e. beyond the city boundaries).

Apartently it was Victoria day today, which is a Dundee holiday, and all the medics are off. But for some reason it's not one of the 8 designated public holidays for the rest of us.

Must be in Aiberbrothock time or somefit.

Biscuit experiments.

I was unhappy with the ratio of biscuit to filling in these biscuits, so I removed one biscuit from two and sandwiched the two remaining biscuits (the ones with the filling on) together.

I really need to get back to the office.

If you dunk your bourbon creams in Ovaltine you'll find that there is just the right amount of filling and that a state of sheer bliss and contentment will come over you.

At least that's what happens with proper original bourbon creams and Ovaltine ...
