Cheap, or free, CMS
« on: 17 April, 2021, 12:12:03 pm »
Morning all

I’m looking for a cheap, or better still, free Content Management System for small business use. I’m not looking for bells and whistles, but just something I can build a web site on with the CMS allowing the business owner to simply update a Callander of events, an announcement blog and a headline news splash. I don’t mind doing a bit of coding to set it all up, but I want the UI of the CMS to be code free.

Any suggestions?
For every complex problem in the world, there is a simple and easily understood solution that’s wrong.

I've used Concrete5 I find it much easier than WP for CMS work.
It is simpler than it looks.

Joomla! every time - free - and loads of free templates and components that cover your list of requirements.

I've been using it for about 15 years across both commercial and hobby sites - as well as an "online shop" that handled entries for the mass-participant MacRide Events I used to organise.
