Suspension forks for 20" wheel and disc brake
« on: 23 February, 2022, 03:03:51 pm »
I'm thinking about trying a suspension fork on the recumbent.  From what I've read the Meks fork has a good reputation, but doesn't seem to be available.  Anyone with experience of others such as Spinner grind, RST, or anything a bit better than those heavy cheap and nasty ones for children's bikes?

Have you tried HPVelotechnik?  They'll probably sell you a Meks fork for HPVelotechnik prices...

I have a SR Suntour XCT-JR 20" suspension fork which was fitted but not used.
Spec here: https://www.srsuntour.com/cs/products/fork/XCT-JR-20-5624.html
The steerer is still long at about 245mm. A starnut is fitted.
Will take  V-brakes, also has disc postmount fittting.
Note the steerer is 1-1/8".
£40 incl postage to mainland UK.

It seems pretty worthy to me, The suspension movement is smooth. The preload works.

EDIT: This is the version with 40mm of travel.
