I got the Assioma Duos but I might have to do the SPD hack as I'm really struggling with 3-bolt cleats.  ::-) :-[

Handlebars for the Pino.

It's thin line between "reassuringly expensive" and "how bleedin' much!?"

I can definitely recommend the SPD hack. Can't remember which X-Pedo (such a bad name) pedals I fitted, but I needed to use the threadlock trick to make sure they were in the correct position. Other than that, it was pretty painless and everything seems to work really well.

Hmm - did not know about the SPD hack.

That will be very handy if I end up with a square taper crank...

Apparently the original pedals that were used for the hack are no longer (readily) available so gplama did an update:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGz36c1yx-Q

there are now garmin rally pedals, compatible with shimano road and mtb cleats. how good they are - time will tell, but it's a welcome option for many (provided they work as they should).

There's also the SRM SPD power meter if you wanted to pay £300 more!

I hadn't seen the SPD hack, interesting.  Did you want the pedals so you could switch them between bikes?  Otherwise the Quark and Power2Max/FSA options cost similar money and let you use whatever pedals you like?

A Minoura Swing Grip, so that I can use my Garmin and handlebar bag at the same time (only a month to go until, fingers crossed, I can do some camping!).

Some lightly-used M323 pedals for nostalgia's sake.  They are so lightly used that the bearings still have that Shimano entry-level toothy feel that takes 100 miles of riding to smooth out, and the seals (usually long gone) are supple and uncracked.

My TL-PD33 is useless on these but, given that they seem to have done mere tens of miles, I just purged them with fresh grease using the common trick of filling the end of the pedal and the dustcap, then pushing the dustcap on.  After about five rounds of this, fresh Phil Wood grease spewed from the crank end.  There was no evidence of factory grease, which probably evaporated last century.

Nice!  I bought some Oakleys last week (50% reduction) but had buyers regret and sent them back for a refund.  They really aren't that special and the prices are inflated IMO largely because they are made (or sometimes assembled) in the USA.  Who cares (apart from Proud Boys)!

I bought a replacement mech hanger for my Cervelo today which I fully expect never to use but you never know. No excitement value  :(

A pair of almost-free Shimano PD-7810 pedals.  These are the best SPD-SLs ever made but people never service them as it needs a couple of unusual tools, viz. a 20mm cone spanner and a small circlip spanner.  The water sealing is poor so they can often be rusted out if they were ridden in the rain.

Anyway, the LH pedal was perfect, with clean green factory grease, but the RH one smelt like an old steelworks when opened up and water has got in, leaving brown rust-stained grease.  The vulnerable inboard bearing race has actually survived well, with no real pitting, but the balls have left stains on the raceways.  A new axle unit can be had for only £20 now (plus £20 postage from the USA!) which is just about economic given that good PD-7810s can go for almost £100.

I noticed a long time ago that women (average woman-sized, anyway) can go full Rapha for a fraction of the usual price, since the small sizes are always on sale.

Some 20mm aluminium rod to slice up and slip inside the ends of the Brompton S-bars, so I can tighten bar ends with impunity.  A ghetto version of the Bontrager B.E.R.T. for readers old enough to remember.
