"hint of" white light bulbs in low energy version
« on: 04 May, 2010, 11:06:50 am »
does anyone remember those light bulbs that gave off a pinky/ orangey / bluey etc glow (not the painted ones or those ones for flame effect fires)? Philips used to do them but they are now like gold dust and only available in ES.

Has anyone any experience of the low energy versions? Homebase sell one type but it's the wrong fitting and too low wattage for the table lamp I want to use it in.

BLT direct do a few brightly coloured ones in red, yellow green, etc.  Very useful for ladies of the night wishing to keep their energy bills down...  Never used them, as I imagine its something of a "niche market".
