SD card problems with OSX Mavericks ?

I've got 2 32G Sandisk SD cards which I've had for a while,  I've not uploaded any photos recently and when I went to do so today my Mac wouldn't mount the card.

The photos were not important so I formatted the card and tried again, no joy.  Formatted it again in a different camera , same result.  Different card reader same result.

I got my other card and tried that, again, it doesn't exist.  My old 1G & 2G cards seem OK.

Have any other Mac users had this issue since upgrading ?    I'm on 10.9.1

I have found that I need to remove and reinsert cards and I hadn't ascribed that to Mavericks until seeing your post. Interesting.

I upgraded to Mavericks a couple of weeks ago and I've mounted a good few different SD and CF cards with my MacBook since then with no problems.

Just remembered that one of my readers doesn't do big cards (which is why it was in the junk drawer) and the other won't read any cards at all     

New card reader ordered.

I had a similar issue to you. After Mavericks, one of my card readers was no longer recognised. Other than that, all fine.

I have no thad issues but only use small cards as my 2007 camera can't handle SDHC cards.
