Time for some improvements to our heating system, should be a faitly easy diy job, 15mm pipework, suspended floors and a low pressure top up tank in the loft boiler. I do know that the valves are not all equal, so can anyone give some tips.,

Drayton TRV4. Accept no substitutes.
(Except for Peglers. Or ...
Any of the branded ones should be OK - I'd steer clear of no-name cheapies though.)

If there is plastic in the build then one is much the same as another. Ours are constantly getting broken by heavy handed guests and we cannot find a metal one for love nor money.

+1 for the Drayton. Reliable and can usually be fitted on the flow or return side.
