Black ice now

Well this morning it was raining in Notts; no snow. Except that we had significant amount of black ice everywhere. So it was the car to go to nursery and it took very, very long to clear the car's windows. The drive was very slippery. The roads were too (small ones), the pavement as well (peds were waddling precariously in parts of town). Thankfully, and maybe unlike the local authorties, our employer had done a good job: the roads on site were well gritted (main site), the pavements were looked after by a large man power for those which hadn't been (clear evidence of activity). Snow was better please!

Lots of black ice in Leics too.  One of my colleagues came off his bike three times before he got off his estate and apparently it is all my fault for shaming him into not using the car.
