For a change from Kai and Zev, here's one of the neighbouring cats. who I often walk past on my way to Sainsburys (only a hundred feet or so from my house).
He (or she) is
much bigger than Zev and Kai, I'd reckon on him being 7 or 8kg, although I haven't picked him up to make an estimate. Unlike Kai, who is a lot of long fur, this cat is very solid, with a short coat.
For all that he's quite possibly the local bruiser, to humans he is quite friendly, and always happy to be petted, often giving a small friendly "meow" in response. There's a slightly smaller and less sociable black and white cat, that I think is a fellow house cat, since they're often in not very close proximity!
Today he was draped across that gateway post, a couple of houses down from where I think he lives (and where his colleague was relaxing in the driveway), his head popped up when I stopped to scratch his ears and say "hello" to him.
