Were they? I couldn't see them, his shorts were too long.
It is simpler than it looks.

Prior to the fight I thought "what a clown, Klitschko will take him apart in the ring".

That seems to be what Klitschko thought as well.

What happened in the ring is that Klitschko was confronted with an immensely clever boxer who could switch hands, box clever, fast and heavy, hit clean and hit dirty. Klitschko was outsmarted, outclassed and (despite looking much fitter) confronted with someone who didn't let up, didn't tire out.

"Outclassed" is a relative term of course.

The fight reminded me of the bad old days, when lumbering boxers, like Joe Bugner, would wrestle each other, occasionally throwing punches.

Hopefully Anthony Joshua will liven things up a bit.
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

Outclassed in the ring

Fight stats

Landed: Klitschko: 52 Fury: 86

Power blows: Klitschko: 18 Fury: 48

Thrown: Klitschko: 69 Fury: 202

Was Klitschko on valium? In every picture he looks terrified, I think he should retire.

I meant wait until Fury meets a classy Heavyweight.

He does have the best name for a boxer ever though.

He certainly made Klitschko look very ordinary but then he's 39, it's incredible he was World Champion to begin with.

Tyson Fury is 27 and 6' 9" tall.

Anthony Joshua is 26 and 6' 6" tall.

I envisage far less holding and far more athleticism in that fight.

Edit.  Joshua just demonstrated his speed and power in his latest fight. He's getting better and better.
