Title: Suitcase wheels large
Post by: drossall on 17 February, 2019, 11:15:20 pm
Me again.

I've spent ages Googling, and looking through eBay and Amazon, for replacement suitcase wheels, without luck. They are black, 115m outside diameter. The wheels are 23mm wide, but measured at the bearing that's 30mm. The axle is 6mm, and 40mm long.

Everything I can find is smaller, even though these don't seem remarkably large. Any suggestions, short of paying £25+ for a scooter wheel?

Cannibalise castor wheels from Screwfix or similar?

eBay seem to be reasonable - you'd need to drill these out, but they are the right diameter and width https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/115mm-Diameter-Plastic-Double-Wheel-Swivel-Pulley-Roller-for-19mm-Tube/27003476118

if you could use 100mm wheels these could be a cheap solution;

if you have access to a lathe then modifying these 125mm wheels

ought not be too difficult.
