Walking and dogs

I walk a lot on my own.

I see other loners walking and they always have a dog with them.

I wish they wouldn't. I got "approached" by 3 unleashed mutts today. The first was a Great Dane who bounded up to me and decided it would be good to rest its paws on my shoulders. I managed to fend it off. Its owner was too posh to apologise. The second was a medium sized terrierish thing that ran up to me barking and snarling. It continued to circle me with the barking and snarling and tried to grab my hat out of my hand. Eventually its owner appeared in the distance and called the dog. Of course, it ignored the call and continued until said owner got within range and grabbed it. "It always barks at strangers". There's a surprise. At least she then apologised. Lastly, I managed to kick a Jack Russell twice before realising what was going on. Luckily it failed to topple me and I refrained from booting it into the distance.

Anyway, am I weird or are the others just afraid to walk on their own?

There's no vibrations, but wait.
