The tandemmers are Rev Rob & Gwyn

I meant to say, identify yourselves. I only got the back markers. We were faffing around too much that morning.

The one above Matt Zorn (Plug) in the AUK vomit-splash jersey is Tewdric (he had trouble with his gears  ;)).

Toby, chris n, nuncio and I were just a bit ahead of him on the pass

Can this ride be done as a permanent?

if you can manage an extra 50km, I run a 200km Gospel Pass AAA Permanent from Cheltenham, which of course can be started at any control such as. Cinderford, Monmouth, Hay-on-Wye.

Also, you can always try my Calendar on 23 May, where the air temp should mean no icing; of course I cannot promise no rain, cos that's Wales (and a touch of England).  I did a recce yesterday to prove some of the roads on the English side, West of Hoarwithy; it's a Cracker! And AAA too.

More than happy to plot a gpx for you of the route and email to you if you want to DIY it.

Ta Steve.
Doing something else on the day of your calendar event, but will look into trying to do your 200K as a permanent. Does it go through Usk as well?

I've ridden it.   A very nice ride, but it doesn't go through Usk

Steve - if you want to ride the GP as a perm, I'd be interested.  I live not far from Usk.

Ta Mal.
I live just north of Leeds, but my Mom and Dad live in Cwmbran.
I am overdue a visit so, although I do not have a fixed date as yet, I do plan to get down there for a weekend in the not too distant future. When I have a date sorted I will post a new thread seeing if anyone would like to join me in doing the ride as a DIY or Perm. Some company would be great

Cuts across the FoD from Gloucester to Monmouth, then across to Llanfihangel to go up the Llanthony Valley.  Area is short of convenient start/finish places out of towns.

Has anyone had their brevet card back from this event - I haven't? I also note that it's not yet on the AUK results website, 15 weeks on from the event. Sorry if I'm being impatient, I fully understand that organisers are volunteers, but this seems unusually slow in my experience.
