@BrianI good going. Sounds as if you're OK with a horizon to look at. Certainly, that's my experience - when my blood sugar is too high my semicircular canals get out of whack and I need a visual reference to walk straight.

Second round at the physio for my tennis elbow...the IMS treatments have been very effective. General use of elbow is now fine.

Anyhoo, a phone call from the NHS today, offering my an in person physiotherapy consultation, next Friday at 3:30pm, at the Cameron Hospital (NHS Fife's main rehab physio facility).    I think my neurologist had requested that I see the physio in person, rather than via online video calls.

A couple of letters from the NHS today.

First one being a copy of the letter from the neurologist which is getting sent to my GP, as well as an appointment for my next MRI scan. It seems my thoracic spine  hasn't been scanned during my previous MRIs, so that's what I'll be getting this time, with contrast dye.

Good luck!

My pain management lot wanted me to ask for a generic "just scan entire spine"cos we don't think I've ever had thoracic spine scans (they've done cervical, lower lumbar and sacral alongside other stuff) but weren't willing to put that in writing or ask for it themselves so I said "I might mention it to a GP but don't expect them to agree". I thing that's "you have scary syndrome with vertibral anomalies, we'd like to eliminate that".

Hope scan goes as well as it can, contrast sounds unfun.

Anyway, a productive in person physiotherapy session today.

Basically what the physio was saying, the physio will help with my symptoms, no matter what the diagnosis turns out to be. Even if it's FND or MS, the same physio will help.

Well, I had my Thoracic Spine MRI scan today.

No contrast dye.

I mentioned this to the nurse who was checking my details, and when they checked the system, it seems neither the neurologist, or the radiologist actually asked for contrast dye to be used..

So hopefully the MRI scan will show something..  But I'm not hopeful, since every other scan has came back clear...   ???

Gosh, 6 months, 3 days since the onset of my symptoms...  At least I'm back at work on on amended duties (since the start of November)

If it shows something, I hope it's something treatable.

Meanwhile, I have totally recovered from the optional (said cardiologist) but desirable (said GP) molsidomine that had made me heavier by 2 kilos and made it impossible to climb the hill out of our valley. Since the water to fill my dilated circulatory system had to come from somewhere, I  suspect the stuff was also responsible for the heroic bout of constipation that has afflicted me since last Thursday. So over the last two days I have peed like a world champion, and this morning the mother lode decamped,*  returning my weight to normal.  I can also run up the stairs again without slowing down.  All I need now is for the snow, wind and rain to bugger off so that I can go for a ride before the next lockdown.

Aargh! Broken ribs are painful but generally, I think, harmless beyond that. Mend well.

Cycleman I hope you've now had some good drugs and been able to get to the loo. Can imagine that rib pain setting off sorts of issues for you. Thinking of you. GWS!

Shame the Pain Team are probably ensconced in CovidCare.
They could otherwise make you comfortably numb round the site of the fracture.

That would be too sensible Helly...

Even though I was wondering if in Cycleman's case that would be ideal given his spinal injury and the risk of pain triggering off all sorts of complications for him!

Cycleman, maybe you should ask about that as an option! If you don't ask, you don't get! Hope the food is OK and incarceration isn't too miserable.

I suddenly felt nausea in the middle of the night and they gave me a pill that took ages to settle it down. I am hoping that it isn't the painkillers causing it. I have been scared to eat as bowel movements will be painful 😫
