A very pleasant little jaunt, so I had to leave early.  Good to see you all again.

Nice hair!

Are you telling us that one is a precondition of the other? Or is "a very pleasant little jaunt" code for "I've just downed 6 pints and I've got to go and ravage the mother in law?"

A very convivial evening, drinking a couple of Mighty Oak's finest brews and admiring bloomers100's turkish haircut.

A small quantity of brown powder was exchanged, sniffed by most and sampled by OD and bloomers.

You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

Exhibit A M'lud a jar of brown powder produced from ODs chatham pocket.

I had a little test and must richly commend Oaky's preparation of said powder, innocuous and smokey at the start then comes right through with lingering dry heat to blow the ELS sandals off.

I was pleased to assist with Oaky and Chief's pre 600 hydrodynamic preparations.

Maldon Gold for me, Oscar Wilde's a bit complicated.

Good luck dudes.

Not I, during the day on Wednesday I shall be riding into London and getting the train back, as an appetizer for  this weekend  ;D

I wasn't going to, given that I spent my allowance for the week on garage pasties and the like, but I do have a bit of a hankering after a (short!) recovery spin and a pint...

Where were you thinking of going Tomsk?

I may be up for a similar spin, depending upon departure time

I'm flexible regarding departure time (working from home today, although have a call until 18:00).

Any ideas where to?  Square and Compasses?  Wagon and Horses?  Compasses (that's probably on my mileage limit ;))

Square & Compasses is a short one for us and more of a stretch for Tomsk, the only reason to choose that over the Wagon & Horses is the quieter road trip to it.  I'm also up for the direct route to the Compasses.
So, for the sake of making a positive suggestion, and not adverse to changing to another destination/plan, how about the S&C with 19:30 departure?!?

My legs will discover new-found flexibility and rise up to strangle me if I try to route up North Hill tonight, but I'm sure I can think of something a tad longer than the 6.5 mile direct route :)

Provisional  - although I reserve the option of turning right at one of the four separate shortcuts to Terling if my legs are falling off.

EDIT: scratch that - I just noticed that your route ends at the point we part company on the way home form the S&C and not at the S&C itself.  That looks fine even for my battered anatomy!

I'm waxing my bikini line, well the nice Turkish man from the barbers is. All included in the haircut, they can't half groom those Turks.

Just home now.

huggy, Tomsk and JOC in attendance.  Dunmow David came for the ride but went home beerless.

We met a couple of chaps from Maldon CC who were arriving at the pub just as huggy and I rode up.  The forum address was mentioned, so hopefully we may see them out on one of our evening meets.

There was a trip to the Compasses on Saturday afternoon by my family and other GW families, (bishop nick and holly helper enjoyed). We were quietly sipping our drinks au  jardin when when a whizzing sound, a loud pop and a cloud of dust emanated from behind the hedge. It was Chief who had decided to trash a tyre  as a crowd pleaser. This now adds a second Compasses related challenge; we now have how fast can you ride to the Compasses from Chiefs house, and now how far can you skid just outside the pub after pedaling like a thirsty nutter down the hill. I believe Chief measured his effort at ~34 paces?

And the trashed gatorskin
