Viper in Mill Green? Will toddle along if work permits.
Yep - that's the one..

It's the only one in the country! Although I think there may be another Viper that opened in recent years in the south west somewhere....
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

There's a Viper night club in Glasgow, a restaurant in Italy and what I think is a pub in Beograd.

I'd like to go to Serbia at some point, but for tonight's purposes Mill Green is probably my limit.

No food?

Energy drinks it is then...

Which is a shame as The Viper was famous (might still be) for its chilli con carne which was/is available in different levels of hottness.  If you ordered the hottest The Viper person would check you fully understood what you were letting yourself in for.

Was at the Hurdlemakers on Sunday, and they have a hot chilli on the menu.  I walked past one of the tables just as one chap was saying to his mate that the chilli he was in the middel of eating really was very hot.

I'm intended to be out this evening, barring Colonials interference.  I can bring some ACME ss jerseys with me if anyone would like to peruse the latest merchandise.
They are at the Italian end of the sizing scale and priced at £45. PayPal accepted.

Do we have a route for tonight?  I'll not know if I can join until later this evening.....

This is the track from the Witham Peloton's last visit to the Viper. Arrival likely to be 21:20-ish.

What time at the Spa Road roundabout? It might be easier for me just to tag along with the main group if that's ok.

I'll pop along later, don't know what time, will aim to leave The Compasses at about 8.30pm if anyone is coming this way?
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

It does, considerately,  take in Boss Hogg's on the way back, though :)

updated our ETA to 21:20 due to a brain fart miscalculation.
The Colonials are doing their best to interfere with my evening plans which means I'll probably need to be antisocial for half an hour or so when we arrive and take a call, someone can still bring me beer though  ;D

Just noticed that The Swan at Little Totham has their beer festival on 9th to 17th June, given we have not been there for a quite a while and we were planning to be in Goldhanger next wednesday I was thinking of moving the venue to The Swan??

So we finally have a night out Eastside and I can't make it - I have an off site in the Vauxhall/Oval area that day.

Oh, cool. I might put my gravel tyres on and jump off the train at Shenfield or  Chelmsford to head for Little Totham. JiberJaber, let me know if you're interested in meeting up in Chelmo to make our way over. I know you have the suss of the Gravel in the area  ;D

Gravel tyres are a good choice, if only to get to the rear garden of the pub where the beer tent is on their potholed gravel track.
