None.  She's no poseur, either.

I had to work to keep up with her - some of the moves she pulled weren't showing off.  She clearly rides like that every day.  She clearly doesn't need brakes...

Thus far. The unexpected does occasionally happen.

We should have little yACF cards to put in our spokes leave on the bikes or persons of those who might be interested in the forum.

A car club of which I may or not be a member <hides from eco-terrorists> gives out cards to leave under people's windscreen wipers, and it seems to work.

I saw this site advertised in my Aussie Ride Cycling Review mag - and immediately thought of you lot.
I just searched on the name and couldn't find any reference to it on here.

You seriously haven't heard of them before? Seriously fit. In every sense of the word.

I went to their Myspace page and on their wall (or whatever it's called on Ms) there was an advert for a bicycle treasure hunt.

Never thought of that before - what a superbly cool idea!
I am now inspired and determined to arrange one of these and invite all local bike spods eg CTC, Transition town people, work BUG, YACF peeps etc.

That would be a great summer Sunday out.

Hmmm - my sense of self preservation tells me that proper alley cats might not be a Good Idea, but this sort of thing sounds rather fun...

Oh - and I've started reading www.movingtargetzine.com again.

::-)

Thanks for the props Charlotte!  I am not sure there is such a thing as proper Alleycat.  It's always possible to ride an Alleycat slowly and carefully (I did last time), and they can be just as much as fun as when you are at the front with the big boys.

But do any of those fine young ladies actually ride a bike, let alone a fixie? :(
Getting there...

Judging by the variety of Jeans, boiler-suits and so on; I'd say no. Generally, anyone whose jeans get ingested into a fixed chain-ring doesn't look so fine afterwards :D.

But, they are still wonderful eye candy .

Very fine young ladies, but without wishing to dismiss them, none looked like they rode the bikes they posed with.

Now if one of them had SPDs on the soles of their heels...

Well we've got SPD sandals, so why not SPD stilettos?

I'd buy a pair  :-*
