Is is possible to transfer favourite websites (from Internet Explorer) to Google Chrome?

Yup install Xmarks on both and they will synch up nicely.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

For some things yes, for other things it's slower than FF (or even IE).

Browser choice is all about trade-offs. What works for one doesn't work for all.

FF is becoming a bit of a bloaty hog. I've got 6 tabs open, none of which are displaying anything big or complex and FF is taking up a monstrous 360MB of memory. Bonkers.

That's why I'm trying Chrome out and all seems well so far...

It's funny - Firefox started off as the stunningly light-weight version of Mozilla that was several times faster at loading stuff than anything else.
