My bike's all paid for! My last bike to work payment comes out of my salary tomorrow and that's that, it's mine, all mine!

Mrs Mike, who's been in India for the week, has got on an early flight and will be home tomorrow :)

It's not been a great 12 hours, but Indias a big place and Mumbai is quite a long way from Delhi, where she's been.

I interviewed for a vacant haematology post today, made a job offer and had a verbal 'yes' reply. If all goes well and the person starts in January it will be the first time (since I took over the managers role in March 07) that the laboratory has had a full staffing compliment and no vacancies

I'm having a long weekend in Inverness, so after finishing tonight I'm not back in work untill Tuesday  :)

It also helps if you are married to the staff :demon:

The gas hub have just been plugged in :) Now where did I pack the burner/grill/flame thing (6 months ago) so that we can actually use the gas hub ?

And upon the question "how many plugs do you have in the kitchen?", I just looked blank, but after a wee bit of digging in my gray matter, I remembered that we had two extra plugs on a wall where there are none atm.. So sparky is coming around any day now to fix that problem and earth the pipes to the boiler and plug in the cooker too.

Cool.  Our Kid has started referring to himself as a chef.  Kinda makes me proud, even though he's pretty junior at the place.  For the first time, he's referred to himself by occupation/calling.  Sure you feel the same pride, so congrats to #1. :)

Woohoo  How long before you start to get "please come back, we miss you" letters from the local takeaways?

Mine: I have finally, finally motivated myself to start applying for jobs. CV sorted and two applications in today.
