I need a trailer to shift beer... any suggestions?
« on: 08 November, 2020, 08:01:56 pm »
I need a trailer to shift beer around. About 50-75kg at a time (usually 50kg).

I'd also like it to shift other stuff, so no beer specific trailers please.

Any suggestions?

Burley.
Use a nomad for hauling art supplies/location painting around. (50 lb.) 10 years old still functioning, if covered in paint.
https://www.burley.com/product/nomad/

Also have a D'lite for trailering 2 dogs. (100 plus pounds)

The Robert axle project may be your friend to set up a chosen trailer option.

Neither are cheap but robust and hard wearing.

often lost.

They look great. Quite spendy... I'd been toying with the idea of the Burley flatbed.

Or a Carry Fredom Y, large.

even more spendy! Looks a bit more robust (possibly?)

I've been abusing a trailer like this (different brand but visually similar) for years, carting 150kg+ of stone, soil and stuff to my allotment.

But it’s very expensive.

I used the old Croozer Cargo to move stuff beyond my pannier capabilities including a couple of beer crates.  Claimed load limit 45KG.  I paid £200 a few years ago. The current models  based on the child/dog model cost a little more.

So, Mrs GC very kindly got me a Burly Flatbed for my birthday (ahh bless...)

It's quite solidly built. It easily carried 20kgs of beer plus some bits of equipment.

I think that I'll make a plywood platform for it as the fabric, while fine, feels like a sharp corner of a crate might poke a whole.
