An interesting mix of the usual suspects, and ultra-racers.

Ian To, Darren Franks and Ede Harrison are well known, but unknown quantities at this distance. I'm assuming that Adam Watkins will be chasing 400 miles.

Now that is interesting, The Arctic pairing could challenge the Goodfellow record.
1991   R C Goodfellow & P B Goodfellow   North Lancashire RC / Sheffield University CC   501.35

I think Rod is the only national record holder on this forum, but I'm happy to be corrected.

Indeed yes.  Though, by the time he's ridden home, then ridden up to the start...

I absolutely swore not to enter again if it was right after the end of term but then I had to scratch from PBP and somehow ended up clicking the button.

They're still out for marshals.  DM this account if you can help out.

Yay - I've managed to get a lift sorted! (thanks Dave)

I expect to be at Prees and/or Espley overnight.  You lot WILL remember to shout your numbers every lap now, won't you?!?

If it's you there I might just shout out some of my old forum names.  Make sure you spell 'Phartiphukborlz' correctly, okay?

Sounds ominous, but don't you need a little bit of that to get the extra bit of performance?

Yeah, you'll be fine. You're not playing snooker - a few nerves isn't going to make you suddenly useless!

Only if you get your name changed on the Start Sheet :)

Has anyone plotted this year's route online? (I don't need to know for my duties, I'd just like to know where you will all be headed!)

Maybe a bit closer to the event ?  This actually happens to me quite a lot and leaves me a bit sleepless so I often start events tired.  It doesn’t hugely effect performance, but I suspect I’d be faster if I could relax better before a big event.

I am fitter, faster, lighter and more aero than the last time I finished this event.  I should be able to improve and it only needs to be by a little bit.  Pacing, nutrition and comfort are the main things.

I did a 6hr test on a circuit in Kent last weekend and came away with a decent average speed.

Start to Prees
Prees-Shawbirch-Espley-Shawbirch-Prees

Up to 8 x Quina Brook
Up to 7 x Night Circuit
Up to 6 x Quina Brook
To Finish Circuit and lap until you finish/die.

Yes, I will shout my number. And if you're really lucky, I won't have a brain fart and shout out the wrong number or momentarily forget what my number is, as I have done once or twice...

Interesting. Turning at Espley on the night circuit is good.
Is that finishing circuit new?
