I'm going away a week on Sunday for what is going to be a very strenuous cycling tour.   I'm currently aching all over & my lower intestine is in Krakatoa mode.   If this doesn't clear up fast I'm going to be a most unhappy bunny. >:(

I'm lucky to have a neighbour who's in when the postie comes around, saving me a trek to (in this case) the Parcelforce depot in darkest Boro.

But how come they aren't in when I call around to collect it? Four days they've had it now  :(

I hate it when you've been drinking 'beer (I.e.from a bottle) and you burp and the CO2 goes up your nose and it burns.
That is all.

The trick is to burp properly, as nature intended, in a manner designed to frighten off predators.
It is simpler than it looks.

Today's lunch with the family has been cancelled and I'm heading back to bed.   Stomach still upset, body still achey.

The first days serious riding of my USA tour next week is 120Km and the temperature is currently in the mid 30's.    If I'm not 100% that's going to be a killer...

My shoulder/shoulderblade spines have been crap since Wednesday, every time I get from megapain to improvement they flare up again the only thing which helps is sleep but not too much so I'm a bit sleep depped.  stress from work being busy and typing too much probably doesn't help but I can't change either of those so sodit. I'm running out of drugs and my GP wants to see me before giving me more - probably cos it's NSAIDs and opiates and shock horror a handful of different types and doses for different purposes.  Will go and see my usual GP and try and wrangle a flu jab out of her cos she's crap at putting me on the flujab list of the computer.

My shoulder aches. Might be something to do with the Unintended Involuntary Dismount yesterday whilst off-roading. First time I have been over the bars in years.

Virgin trains why don't you let cyclists with first class tickets put their bikes in the end nearest my seat?Pendolinos are long trains to sqeeze down the isle of.

Citroen garage. When I ring up and try to book my car in, you say "No need to book, just turn up, we are open from 8".

So when I turn up at 8:15, wait outside for 30min, try phoning 3 times, all without any success, it is really fucking annoying.

Oh, and if you pay someone to make a website for you, with a handy location map, it would be a really good idea of the location map actually showed your location, not somewhere 2 miles away.

and a follow up - why do you want to stand in the doors on the train for 5 minutes before it gets to the station? Instead of getting back down the train to my bike I had to run 8 carriages along the platform, dodging dozy idiots with fridge sized trolley bags as I went.

The slow lane of the pool was very busy this morning, with traffic jams caused by very slow guy and very very slow guy. At one point I was behind very slow guy who was behind very very slow guy. I had the space to overtake them both but just as I was about to pass very slow guy, he moved out to overtake very very slow guy. But he didn't have the pace to do it in the space available and had to pull back in. This happened twice in one length. I actually spent half that length doing nothing more than treading water and sculling my arms a bit right behind them.

I wish I was fast enough for the medium lane, or that they'd open a very slow lane.  ;D

Checking what time the AGM started would have meant that:
A) you would not have had to rush through showering and grabbing food, and
B) you wouldn't have had to sit in the car outside the village hall for an hour feeling like a total nitwit!
