Cyclocross

Off to Dundee on Sunday to watch a round of the Scottish Cyclocross Championships - with all the rain we've had it should make for a muddy affair!

Photos will, naturally, follow.

Fancy giving it a go next eyar maybe - all I need are some 700c knobblies on the Kaffenback...

Hmm.. The paths are mostly hardpack and in good condition. The fun part will be the hill (if they go straight up) and the old golf course/through the woods. Start/finish past the castle could get quite churned up.

I'll try to get along for the finish of the main race. When do you get into Dundee?

I was considering to attend the Gazet van Antwerpen Trofee in Hasselt but I have to race myself saturday evening. So quite likely I'll only be at the Dutch nationals in Heerlen.

OK, it was a different course to usual - mostly flat (with a few interesting off camber lumps and bumps) with plenty of MUD to make things interesting. Only one hurdle and a velodrome to ride round both ways. Lots of fun, good weather and a lot of good racing.

The rest of mine are uploading. There are one or two absolute crackers. I'll amend this post when they arrive online.

Is there enough mud yet?

The trick is to get lapped just before the finish.. There were plenty of people taking part who made me feel that I wouldn't be totally out of place giving it a go. Ah well, there is always the cyclists vs runners on 27th December..
