Dear ex client,

Why are you surprised that I have said 'no thanks' when you keep cancelling at the very last minute and do not understand why I put in an invoice for my inconvenience and loss of opportunity to trade?   It clearly states in our Agreement which I insisted on going through with you clause by clause that payment will be required for cancellations made on the day?

I would rather not have you as a client than consider taking you to court for breach of contract.

Bye.

Just spent the last five minutes extracting small fragments of tooth from a piece of chewing gum. Looks like it's off to the dentists for me :(

Extra moan,  dentist's reception shuts for lunch between 1pm and 2pm apparently according to the recorded message. Would be nice if you put that on the website.

I am all too familiar with all of this mcshroom.  It must be contagious.
Milk please, no sugar.

Me three.

I do however have the nicest (or at least least busy) NHS dentist in the country, who seems quite happy to bodge them back into working order the same day.

Not quite the same day but not bad. I'm in at 10:10 tomorrow.

:(

I'm sure I'll get my share of dental trouble sooner or later.  Possibly sooner, as I've had two broken teeth in as many months, after a decade of problem-free failing-to-see-a-dentist.

And sorted. I'm now £50 lighter but at least the tooth was fillable.

Gah!  For the whole of the driest September "ever", the rain radar at http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ worked perfectly.  Now, when it is really important to judge those "between the showers" opportunities, the site is not accessable.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

I got my current project to a point where I could take the afternoon off and now we have heavy showers every half-hour or so. I hate cleaning bikes so...

Not really grumbling, though: we had a heap of spare ribs left over from yesterday.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Strike "showers" & "every half-hour...", subst. "solid bloody rain".

Bloody hell.  It's a good job I'm still able to ride to Emlyn and back.  Might need to invest in electric assist when I get to be a proper old bugger, though.

SIGH...

Dear Mlle PB,

Because you do not borrow enough on your Cooperative credit card we are reducing your credit limit.   Not borrowing enough can have an adverse affect on your credit score.

Have a shite day.

Your uncaring, unsharing Coop.

I know, I know - it's been like this for ages but it just grates that being creditworthy is measured by how much you frivolously borrow and not by how much you have, or by how frugal you might be.   I thought that the wanking sector might have learned something from the prodigious world economic cockup that their policies of borrow and spend had caused.   But no...      ::-)

The Steaming Turd bank TM seems to have done similar the same with my overdraft, reduced from £450 to £50.  I don't much care, but it is the same focusing on those who borrow etc.

I try to remember to buy stuff on my credit card and pay it off so that there is constant credit score fodder.

The credit limit on my CC is around forty times as much as I commonly owe them.
I can see little cause to go anywhere near my credit limit.
Credit limits seem ridiculous; either far too much or far too little.

I always thought that the main purpose of a credit card was to have access to funds in an emergency.   I'd forgotten that seemingly most of the UK live by using theirs on a daily basis.   I cannot remember when I last used a credit card.

Pay for everything by credit card and pay it off every month - gets you a good credit score and has the other benefit of the CC guarantee if you get fleeced / need insurance etc. The only thing we use our debit/current account card for is getting cash out.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.
