Just been to one of the special screenings of this film - small cinema with about 50 seats, almost all occupied.
To say it was dire is generous - the fact that about 5 or 6 people got up and left part way through says something . and the banter in the gents afterwards was pretty universally of the view that it was crap.
I had high expectations of an interesting documentary following (as the blurb suggested) Millar's last year as a pro cyclist, culminating in not being selected for the TdeF team that year. Something along the lines of the excellent Mark Cavendish film of a few years back that followed his year (with the comment calling Mark Renshaw Prince Harry
) at Team Columbia-HTC
The Millar film consisted of moody stuff with him swearing and endless shaky GoPro filming as he was riding - together with all sorts of weird effects that were just an ego-trip for the film editor.
I didn't like it - doubtless others may see the "cinematic art" . . .
