There's a protocol for pronunciation.
Quote
Correct pronunciation for Movistar is: Mo (as in ‘more’) - bee (like the flying insect) - star. Accent on the final syllable.

The official pronunciation for Liquigas was 'Leaky Gas'.

It may be spelled Movistar, but it's pronounced "disappointment". :demon:

Doesn't really matter, because from the context (of the conversation) understanding will have taken place*.

It's a word I've only encountered in written form, so I'd probably trip over it and look like an idiot[1] if I tried to say it without thinking about it properly first.  Having now had time to think about it, I'd probably go for the short 'o', or perhaps "Telefónica", which is Spanish for "our-favourite-telco".

If it's Spanish should it not be Mobistar?
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.
