Title: Beginning bicycling in Barrhead

I met a nice lady today at the Glasgow2014 training session. She is keen to start cycling but has had some bad experiences in the past and has little confidence. Does anyone know of a Glasgow based group that will do just round the park style rides where she can gather confidence?

Belles on Bikes (http://www.meetup.com/Belles-on-Bikes-Glasgow/). I know they were doing some absolute beginners' sessions a while back in one of the parks - not sure if they've got any going on at the moment (might be a seasonal thing) but they definitely cater for beginners/returning cyclists.
