I have actually seen all three of his famous films.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Haven't seen any but I quite like the song.  Nowadays he'd probably be got at for racial stereotyping.

I think he's pretty safe there.  Maybe less so for playing a Greek smuggler in the Bond film.

Saw the Fiddler film but Alfie Bass was Tevye when I saw the stage version.

Apparently there was mild consternation when Topol was cast in the film of Fiddler On The Roof because everyone assumed it would be taken by Zero Mostel (probably best known now for his manic turn in The Producers), who had pretty much created the role on stage.
