La Pierre le Bigaut

Well it's time to nail my colours to the mast. I'm entering this sportif in Brittany. I did it about 4? years ago and it is a fantastic event.

Pretty much closed roads; Mavic support, timing chips, marshalls, gendarmes stopping the cars for the bikes at major road crossings, villages "en Fete" and about 7000 participants in rides from 27k to 155k. ALL the entry fee goes to charity and you get a certificate to prove it that enables you to reclaim the tax.

Brilliant event and atmosphere. I've booked the time off and the plane; just need to get a bit fitter!

Anyone interested I can offer basic camping at our "cottage" 10 miles from the start.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, this sounds fun.

I wonder if Sabine has heard of this event? She will have when I tell her we have entered it.
